Get NQPA Registration Form

All animals must measure at least 46" but no more than 58"

  • No two-year-old or younger measuring more than 56" will be accepted for registration. Any two-year-old or older which measures more than 58" shall have its registration revoked.
  • Measurement of NQPA registered ponies must be done by an approved NQPA inspector at the beginning of each show season. That measurement will be recognized during that show season.
  • All stallions must have a AQHA permanent registration number.
  • A mare must have either sire or dam registered with AQHA, or have a AQHA registration number, or go thru the hardship process.
  • A gelding need not have AQHA papers or breeding, but shall be quarter-type to qualify for registration.
  • Any mare or gelding that has both parents registered with NQPA shall, without inspection, receive a permanent number.
  • Any animal two years of age and older, without AQHA, or NQPA registered sire and dam, must pass confirmation inspection before receiving a registration number.
  • No animal shall be registered which exhibits any of the following characteristics:Pinto, Paint, Appaloosa, or excessive white spotting from the ear back.
