Show Requirements

The minimum requirements for an approved show are as follows:

  1. One halter class for mares
  2. One halter class for geldings
  3. One halter class for stallions
  4. One showmanship class
  5. One Western Pleasure class
  6. One English Pleasure class
  7. Reining and one additional western class(trail or western riding)
  8. Barrels and one additional contest class.

These are minimum requirements. NQPA recommends more classes for better participation

Show Approval

Any club wanting to have NQPA approved classes in their horse or pony show must have their show approved by the Show Committee of the NQPA.

Important Information

May we again remind you of the importance of entering your pony properly at the approved shows. A copy of the NQPA registration form must be provided when entering classes. The name of the pony, registration number and the owner will be required on all entry forms.All incorrect entries will forfeit their points from that particular show. Ownership should be kept up to date. Transfer applications are available from the association.
